Shades of Brown for Fall 2024

One of my favorite things about the seasons changing is the shift in color palette. Now don't get me wrong, there are definitely not any rules when it comes to wearing certain colors, but there is no denying that color trends correlate to different seasons.

Now that fall has officially arrived, let's talk about the main color of the season. Of course, the typical fall hues have made their way into the store, such as rich burgundy, shades of olive or rich evergreen, and dark golds/rusts, but my favorite on the list for fall 2024 is chocolate brown

This color for fall is hardly new, but for fall 2024, the internet and fashionistas alike (myself included) can’t get enough of it. There's something about this particular shade of brown that feels luxurious and looks expensive.

I've rounded up a few of my favorite rich brown styles from the boutique to create a few fun fall looks. Whether you're going fully monochromatic or just adding a single piece to your look, there are tons of ways to incorporate brown into your wardrobe this fall.

My Current Favorite Brown Styles from CRB

1. The Brown Grandpa Cardigan

I love the 'grandpa core' trend! I think it's so cute and cozy. Not to mention, it reminds me of my late grandpa(s) who both wore cardigans that looked just like this one.

Made of 100% cotton, it has a really luxurious chunky knit feeling. This one has a functional button front for multiple ways to wear and two front pockets.

There are lots of ways to wear this cute cardi, but to embrace the grandpa core trend, add a basic tee, oversized denim, and your comfy uggs!

2. Brown Sleeveless Turtleneck & Trouser Pants

Here's a monochromatic example for you!

I took this sleeveless turtleneck top home with me already. It's the perfect chocolate brown shade, complete with a cozy ribbed-knit and fold-over turtle-neckline.

Pair with neutral brown trouser pants for an elevated look. I also added a skinny leather belt in a matching chocolate hue to elevate the look a bit.

Styling Tip: This is a great look for something in a more professional setting and the sleeveless tank is optimal for layering under your favorite jackets, such as a blazer or leather jacket.

3. Chocolate Brown Sweater Dress

This chocolate brown sweater dress is STUNNING.
Not only is it the perfect shade of brown, it has that beautiful chunky textured knit. The mock neckline keeps it classy and the sleeveless style makes it great for a warm fall day and easy to layer for a chilly day.

I love that we're wearing our longer dresses with tall boots now. I think that really elevates the look in comparison to ankle boots, which just tend to make you look shorter.

Styling Tip: The silhouette of this dress is somewhat shapeless. You can wear it intentionally in that fashion, or if you want, you can add a chic belt to draw attention to the waistline.

4. Chocolate Brown Bodysuit

These ribbed-knit long sleeve bodysuits just landed in store. They arrived in this gorgeous chocolate brown, forest green, and black. I don't think they will last long because they have a great price point and they're classic wardrobe staples.

Perfect for layering or styling solo. I paired it with a simple satin skirt here but really these go with anything from your favorite denim to layering under a sleeveless dress.

5. Cozy Brown Cardigan

There is no such thing as too many cardigans in my book. This style is so soft and cozy and a completely different vibe from the grandpa cardigan above. Easily layer over your favorite tees, tanks, or bodysuits for a quick and easy outfit.

Make of an ultra soft chenille knit, this soft brown cardigan features an open front, 3/4 length sleeves and two front pockets. It also has a really cool asymmetrical hem, which keeps it from looking overwhelming on your frame, as it is an oversized design.

I kept this look simple by pairing with a black tank and a pair of denim, but for the model photo on our website, it's styled with a mini skirt and looks SO CUTE! (see photo below!)
