Fall florals...yes, I know, groundbreaking, right?
Floral prints are obviously not groundbreaking, but that's for a reason.
Because they're CLASSIC.
Floral prints easily transcend seasons and in particular, are great for transitional outfits, such as summer to fall and winter to spring.
They come in variety of colors and styles, making them either fun statement pieces or more subtle supportive styles.
No matter what you pick, you can't go wrong. Find a floral you love and let's put together a few fall outfit ideas.
Here are a few of my current favorites in the store right now.
1. Floral Mini Skirt
I love this black satin mini skirt and how it's perfect for any season! Spring, fall, summer, even winter... it can literally be worn year-round.
This fitted silhouette is right on trend and the front slit adds a little something, you know?
There are lots of colors in the ditsy floral print of this skirt, so there are a ton of ways to style it.
For this look, I opted for a dusty mauve sweater, black boots, and cream shoulder bag.
2. Floral Mini Dress
Similar to the black satin mini skirt, this black chiffon dress is also perfect for all seasons!
I love the more draped silhouette through the arms to contrast its' shorter length.
Again, there are lots of colors in the floral print of this dress, so you can play with accessories, shoes, or outer layers.
For this look, I let the dress remain the focus by pairing with black boots, a dark purple shoulder bag and gold jewelry.
3. Floral Maxi Skirt
Okay wow, I'm just realizing I'm 3 for 3 in the versatility department. This maxi skirt would ALSO be perfect for any season. I swear, I didn't plan for it to work out like this. But that is truly a testament to how versatile floral prints can be for you.
This maxi skirt is so beautiful and flowy, with even MORE color options in the print. This allows you to have lots of pairing options. I opted for a soft taupey-olive sweater to compliment the neutrals and greens in the skirt.
I love the cozy sweater contrast with the feminine bohemian style of the skirt. Pick your favorite bag and add your favorite metal jewelry to complete the look.
4. Floral Blouse
I loveeee a good satin blouse. Satin is a dressier fabric, so I love how easy it is to make it casual (ex, jeans) or dress it up with trousers or a pair of black pants. I also think satin for some reason gives that instant 'wow she knows how to dress' factor. I don't know why I think that, I just do.
I love the stunning black and gold contrast here and the cut of this blouse. The flowy dolman sleeves combined with the cinched fixed waist and peplum silhouette creates the most beautiful hourglass shape.
Make this top day-time worthy with your favorite denim and gold accessories, or dress it up with black bottoms or even a satin midi skirt. You can even layer this blouse under a blazer for a more professional scenario.
5. Floral Midi Dress
In case you haven't noticed, there's a real theme going on in most of these looks. And no, floral print is not the only thing they have in common. It's the art of contrast.
This gorgeous satin midi dress is elegant and classy. Perfect for a night out or an event on your calendar. Contrast that with a cool & casual denim jacket and you're practically daytime worthy! At least, I would wear this outfit combo during the day.
I have it styled with heels here but if you really want to go for the dress-down factor, I would pair this outfit with neutral tall boots.
