Outfits of the Week: Euro Summer
With summer officially here, let's dive into the 'European summer aesthetic.'
1. A WHITE BUTTON-UP
2. TAILORED PANTS
A pair of classic trouser pants is a wardrobe essential. With a lightly pleated front, these cream-colored pants can easily be dressed up as office attire or make them more casual for everyday wear. Timeless and season-less, you can't go wrong with these pants.
To dress them down for an everyday chic look, I paired it with a trendy strapless top, gold jewelry, a chic belt and woven bag.
3. LINEN SHORTS
A pair of neutral linen shorts is always the answer. I love the soft oatmeal hue and clean, tailored front of these shorts. You can easily dress them up with a blazer or dress them down with a tank or tee.
I styled it with a simple black linen tank for a more dressed-down vibe, trendy sunnies, gold jewelry, and a woven purse.
4. BLACK MAXI DRESS
Where do I even start? If you don't have a black maxi dress of some kind in your wardrobe, GET ONE! They are classic, timeless, can be worn for any number of occasions. I would literally wear this dress to Target and the grocery store on my weekly errands. But, also think brunch, trips to the winery, a night out to dinner (date night or with the girls), vacation... you name it, you can wear it.
I added gold jewelry for a luxe look and a beachy top-handled bag.
5. SATIN SLIP SKIRT
A satin slip skirt... seriously so chic. Not to mention, timeless! - Should we count how many times I've used that word in this post? But seriously, it's true! If you want to extend the longevity of your wardrobe, stack it with timeless and classic pieces.
Back to the slip skirt... I love these because you can style them so many ways. I love that you can add a simple tee and sneakers for a casual daytime look. But you can also dress it up for an event or night out. I also love that they take up no space and are usually pretty difficult to wrinkle- aka, perfect for traveling.
Here I paired it with a trendy tube top, gold jewelry, and a trendy top handle bag for a modern look.
I'm starting to wonder why I even titled this post 'Euro Summer Outfits' because really it should be called timeless wardrobe capsule pieces. But, I suppose that's a big part of the 'Euro Summer' styling, it really embodies classic looks in favor of more trendy styles.
All of these pieces definitely fit the bill, and could be easily mixed and matched for a fabulous travel wardrobe (or just your everyday wardrobe).
